Ditch the Olds And Come for a Laugh
Tired of Dad repeating those same one-liners at the dinner table and Mum laughing at her own jokes? The NZ International Comedy Festival has you sorted. Get the olds to drop you off at Auckland’s Q Theatre on Saturday 17 May for The 5PM Project, where you’ll see stars of TV3's Jono and Ben at Ten Rose Matafeo, Guy Williams, Joseph Moore and more will take to the stage to entertain you with their unique style of stand up.
You'll be introduced you to some other funny as jokers as well, who have stacks of ways to crack you and your mates up!
If you’re getting all your laughs from Twitter, maybe you should do what your mum says and "put the technology down, get some fresh air and have an actual conversation. When I was your age…".
Live comedy - it’s like Twitter in 3D!
FOR THE FOLKS:
The 5pm Project is the generational gap-filler between Stand-Up For Kids and the more adult-orientated shows that take place during the NZ International Comedy Festival. Almost like watching an M rated movie – something that verges on adult, but kept restrained. Well, on the adult humour that is. The laughs, on the other hand, are completely unrestrained!
Which means that parents; you don’t have to chaperone your teenage son or daughter. We understand at that age it can be “uncool” for some to be seen with the “oldies” – let the comedians do the chaperoning for you instead!
As part of the 2014 NZ International Comedy Festival, grab some mates and join us for a great night of laughs from 24 April - 18 May.
