THE 2DEGREES COMEDY CONVOY!
10 centres across NZ from 13 - 25 May
WE GOT A GREAT BIG CONVOY! AIN’T IT A BEAUTIFUL SIGHT?
What’s got 10 legs and manages thousands of laughs over the space of a fortnight? Not some mutant clown-like monstrosity but the 2degrees Comedy Convoy – offering up two hours of hilarity with a premium line-up of international and local stars from the 2014 NZ International Comedy Festival.
Team captain on TV3s 7Days, Paul Ego (NZ) leads the fleet of comedians in 2014, bringing fresh laughs while also knowing the tricks to wrangle a joker or two! A 20 year veteran of the NZ comedy scene; he’s also a qualified sign writer and a loving but mostly ineffective father. "Entertaining, insightful and has a terrific rapport with his audience" - NZ Herald
Markus Birdman (UK) as seen on the 2013 Comedy Gala, is a leading comic on the UK live circuits. Returning to NZ, he showcases his sharp perspectives on life, marriage and romantic archetypes. “Birdman is the all-round package; witty, controversial, hip, topical and silly” – BBC
If you were to try and define Justine Smith (NZ) as a lover or a fighter, you’d have to say both. She is capable of tearing strips off people on stage, and then buying them a drink after the show. “[Smith] delivers a highly entertaining, slick night of comedy” –Theatreview.org.nz
2013 Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Carl Donnelly (UK) brings a conversational and silly sense of humour to NZ with hilarious anecdotes and observations on the state of the world and his plans on how we should be dealing with it. No gimmicks, just - "Gripping, unmissable stand-up" - The Guardian, UK
Award-winning comedian magician Jarred Fell (NZ) isn't just a normal magician. He combines fast-paced razor sharp wit with a tornado-like approach to magic and comedy.
"Jarred Fell is one of my favourite acts to work with, I wish I could take him on tour with me everywhere" - Steve O, Jackass
As part of the 2014 NZ International Comedy Festival in cahoots with Old Mout Cider, grab some mates and join us for a great night of laughs in your town.
