Best-selling author joins line-up for Local Food Week event
Best-selling author joins line-up for Local Food Week event, Thursday March 27
With the help of some mouth-watering recipes and some sage advice from the Duchess of Windsor – “Watch out. If you don’t take care you may serve an entire meal pinkish mauve, from lobster bisque to sherbet,” – Anne Else’s food memoir The Colour of Food rocketed to the number one spot on Amazon’s ebook food memoirs’ bestseller list within a week of release.
Now the best-selling author and writer of the successful food blog Something Else to Eat has joined the line-up for the Wellington Local Food Network’s event “Writing about Food: Blogs and Books” as an added ingredient to an in-depth discussion on that ever-elusive side of food – writing about it.
Alongside Sue Kerr of Five Course Garden, Laura Vincent of Hungry and Frozen, and Jared Gulian of Moon over Martinborough, Else will be discussing what it takes to be a successful food writer and blogger, from inspiration to the writing process to sourcing quality produce, and everything in between.
An evening event that takes advantage of the sumptuous setting of The Library, Wellington’s fabulous cocktail and lounge bar with a literary twist, “Writing about Food: Blogs and Books” is a night not to be missed.
