Historic performance of St John Passion for NZ

Published: Fri 21 Mar 2014 04:46 PM
Next weekend will mark a historic event for NZ!
For the first time ever in New Zealand, Bach Musica’s performance of Bach’s St John Passion on Sunday 30 March 2014 at the Auckland Town Hall will feature two viola d'amores and a viola da gamba to augment our orchestra, as requested by Bach in his original score.
The two players are Sophia Acheson and John Thomson.
Sophia's instrument is loaned from the Auckland University and it belonged in the past to famous composer Paul Hindemith.
Could you please advise if you would be interested in running a story or featuring the event in either a print or online directory? I have attached some further information.
Tickets for Bach Musica’s St John Passion are on sale from Ticketmaster! Please purchase your tickets in advance and choose your favourite seat!
