Wellington's first outdoor cinema raises money for cancer sufferer
HELP HAYLEY TICK OFF HER BUCKET LIST
22 year old Hayley Young is supposed to be in the prime of her life; studying, spending time with family and friends, and perhaps even embarking on a promising career. Instead, Hayley is battling a rare aggressive form of bone cancer, Ewing's sarcoma.
After nine months of intense treatment in 2013, Hayley received the news she and her family had been longing for, she was given the all clear by doctors and a renewed hope of a bright future. However, two short months later specialists told Hayley the cancer had returned; and the prognosis was devastating – she was given 12 months to live, even with treatment.
Despite receiving this earth shattering news, Hayley has bravely chosen to continue her fight against the cancer and live the remainder of her young life to the fullest.
She has created a bucket list containing once in a lifetime experiences, including travel and experiences abroad. With the large medical costs incurred by traveling out of New Zealand, Firefly Cinemas are rallying support to help Hayley fulfill her dreams.
Firefly Cinemas is holding a night at the drive-in to help Hayley tick off her bucket list. On Friday 7 March, the cinema will be showing Pitch Perfect at the outdoor drive-in, with ten dollars from every ticket going towards helping Hayley complete her bucket list.
Tickets are available now through the Firefly website.
