EasiYo Tactix Netball Match To Stay in Nelson

The EasiYo Tactix are delighted to announce their Round 11 ANZ Championship match against the Haier Pulse will remain in
Nelson.
The original venue for the game, the Trafalgar Centre, was closed in mid-December 2013 and Nelson’s Saxton Stadium has
been announced as the replacement venue for the match in May.
Netball Mainland (EasiYo Tactix) has been working with the Nelson City Council through January and February to find an
alternative venue and ensure compliance with SKY Television broadcasting and ANZ Championship hosting standards are met.
Netball Mainland CEO Brigit Hearn says while the closure of the Trafalgar Centre was very disappointing for the Nelson
community, it is pleasing that an appropriate alternative venue has been found.
“We have been working with the Nelson City Council to ensure that the game stayed in the Nelson area.”
“It has taken some time to work through the logistics and we thank our fans and members for their patience,” she said.
“Our matches in Nelson have been highly successful and well supported by the local community in the past, and played in
front of capacity crowds.”
“We are appreciative and thrilled with the support we have received from the Nelson City Council to ensure the match can
be played in Nelson.”
“Saxton Stadium is an excellent venue and the EasiYo Tactix team are looking forward to playing before their home crowd
in May,” Hearn said.
The ANZ Championship match between the EasiYo Tactix and Haier Pulse will start at7.20 pm on Sunday May 11 and is
preceded by the College Netball competition’s first semi-final between the winners of the Upper North Island and South
Island.
