Shave the date!
Whether it’s to help a family member, to help others or simply beat the boys at the office, there are many stories
behind why thousands of kiwis chose to part in Shave for a Cure Week from 17 – 23 March to raise funds for Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand (LBC).
LBC have launched a new campaign focusing on the real stories of why five New Zealanders have decided to brave a shave.
One of the most poignant of these is lead talent Dee Orr, who shaved in support of her daughter Paige.

WORLD have also designed a range of supporter t-shirts for the Shave for a Cure campaign featuring iconic hairdos. They
have also designed a separate ‘brave’ t-shirt for the first 500 shavees who raise $500 for Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand.
“We are really excited about our new campaign and it was really important to us that the people and stories we featured
were authentic.
Shave provides a fantastic way to really make a difference as so many people are affected by a blood cancer diagnosis,”
says Pru Etcheverry Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand’s Chief Executive Officer.
LBC receives no government funding and relies on Shave for a Cure to keep its services free of charge to patients. LBC’s
services include patient support, funding for research, information and awareness programmes and advocating on behalf of
patients.
Shave Week runs from March 17-23.
