Smiths City, one of the country’s leading appliance retailers, has pledged its support for netball by becoming a key
sponsor of the Haier Pulse for the 2014 ANZ Championship campaign. The Smiths City logo will appear on the back of the
players’ yellow dress in a significant new partnership which will offer new opportunities to Haier Pulse fans.
Smiths City Managing Director, Rick Hellings, believes that netball is a great way to bring the community together.
“Smiths City works extensively with various youth and health-related institutions in the regions in which it has
stores,” he explained. “We see this sponsorship as being a logical extension of this, as the Haier Pulse players give
young netball players something positive to aspire to.”
Smiths City will be teaming up with the Pulse naming rights sponsor, Haier Appliances, to offer local customers a unique
opportunity to meet their netball heroes in store.

The Smiths City Group, including LV Martins & Sons and Powerstore stores, has 12 stores in the Haier Pulse zone, and 27 nationwide.
