We are gathered here today, to witness the joining of this man and this man in holy matrimony
“Side-splittingly hilarious”

Daily Telegraph

Auckland: Skycity Theatre - Sunday 27th April

Tickets on sale Thursday 13 February 9am

Back by popular demand, international comedy treasure and self-proclaimed ‘Lord of the Mince’ Julian Clary will return as part of the NZ International Comedy Festival in April with a brand new show Position Vacant: Apply Within. Currently touring the UK this has become one of Julian’s most successful shows to date!

“Hilarious…vintage Clary”

Whatsonstage

Gaining a whole new legion of fans following an incredible Celebrity Big Brother win, 2012 was a stand-out year for the sharp-witted and even sharper-tongued comedian. Fans have flocked to see the flamboyant star in his element, delivering his now infamous brand of outrageous, no-holds barred comedy.

Still unafraid to push boundaries, Position Vacant: Apply Within is not only a stellar night of comedy, but every evening Julian unashamedly flirts in the face of conformists everywhere, by welcoming a selection of eligible bachelors onto the stage to win his hand in marriage.

Remaining a much loved entertainer, Julian's popularity has endured across a three decade career in showbusiness. As much known for his TV and radio profile as he is for stand-up, last year he appeared on TV favourites such as Q.I. and Live at the Apollo. He is also a best-selling novelist and his third book, Briefs Encountered, was published in 2012 to unanimous praise.

“His persona of camp superciliousness is effortlessly amusing…Clary’s genius is to find sexual suggestion where the rest of us wouldn’t think of looking”

The Guardian

You think knob jokes are easy?...Clary makes them flow like cheap German wine.”

The Times

Needless to say Julian Clary can’t wait to return.

Dress code is smart but casual, although the usual rules about corduroy trousers still apply.
