Straight Laced
ChoreoCo is a new initiative by FootnoteNZ to provide an opportunity and short term contract for a small company of dancers. These dancers will be selected from the renowned three week intensive Choreolab held in January 2014.
FootnoteNZ present ChoreoCo’s debut performance of Straight Laced as part of the New Zealand Fringe Festival. Choreography will be by Craig Bary who is the masterclass tutor at Choreolab and will follow on as guest choreographer for this production project.
Straight Laced will look into the world of sex and sexuality and the effect of a society dominated by the ‘straight lifestyle’ on decisions we make about our sexuality and relationships.
We are thrilled to announce this as the first new initiative of the new structure of FootnoteNZ. FootnoteNZ is a newly formed production company with an objective to provide support, space and technical expertise for a range of dance projects that result from submissions from the industry.
Performances of Straight Laced, a new work by Craig Bary, will be at BATS Theatre March 2nd – 8th 2014 as part of the New Zealand Fringe Festival.
