Kinloch Promises a Great Festival of Triathlon This Weekend
Kinloch on the shores of Lake Taupo will this weekend play host to a two day festival of triathlon with the latest round of the .kiwi Tri Series, with Oceania Sprint Championships on the line in U23 and Elite categories (including Mixed Team Relay on the Sunday) and New Zealand Sprint Championship medals up for grabs in all age group racing and elite racing, with the exception only of the U19’s (U19 National Sprint Championships will be raced in Wellington on March 8).
Media and photographers wishing to attend and cover the Oceania Sprint Championships and National Sprint Championship event, incorporating the Oceania Mixed Team Relay Championships on Sunday should contact Andrew Dewhurst on the details below.
Elite race previews for the women and men will be distributed on Wednesday and Thursday this week and will include all relevant information. However media can access all event information including course maps, start lists, race schedule by visitingwww.triseries.co.nz
The Kinloch round of the .kiwi Tri Series also incorporates the Tri Sport Taupo Erin Baker Standard Distance race on Saturdaymorning and also caters for the beginner and young triathletes with 3:9:3 and 1:2:1 race options.
As well as the race previews, results orientated releases will be distributed on Saturday (early evening) and Sunday (early afternoon) and will include free to use editorial images.
The event is run by Triathlon New Zealand with the support of theTūwharetoa Maori Trust Board, Taupo District Council and Tri-Sport Taupo.
