BNT confirms three year naming rights deal with V8 SuperTourers
V8 SuperTourers have confirmed a new major series sponsorship deal with BNT which installs the national automotive parts
distributor as the naming rights sponsor of the BNT V8 SuperTourers for the next three years.
BNT is a significant supplier of a wide range of automotive parts, accessories and engineering supplies to trade
customers throughout New Zealand. The company has been involved in Motorsport in New Zealand for over 25 years and
supports all levels of motorsport from entry level, right through to the premier level of the V8 category.
In 2013, BNT supported the Series in a one year deal as naming rights sponsor. John Pollard, BNT Sales and Marketing
Manager says continuing to support the V8 SuperTourers for the next three years is a positive business decision.
“The BNT V8 SuperTourers is growing from strength to strength and we have seen great return in terms of brand awareness
and sponsor benefits. The Series is gaining popularity with fans, viewers, drivers and sponsors, so it made absolute
sense for BNT to committ long term to the Series,” says Pollard.
Managing Director for BNT V8 SuperTourers Ray Noonan says that the Series has come a long way in two years and this
sponsorship further reinforces how attractive the Series has become to major corporates who are looking for valuable
strategic partnerships.
“We are thrilled to continue the partnership with BNT. Securing three year deals with sponsors like this really do
cement the future of the category and send strong messages to other corporates in regards to the brand value our series
provides,” says Noonan. “The growth we have experienced in the last twelve months in terms of TV viewership and Facebook
Fans has been phenomenal.”
The number of BNT V8 SuperTourer Facebook fans grew from around 11,000 at the start of 2013 to today’s figure of 23,302
while the total audience reach for the 2013 grand final coverage on TV3’s CRC Motorsport was 226,100 viewers.
In addition to the naming rights sponsorship deal of the Series, BNT also have an individual car sponsorship deal with
the Edgell car.
The series, which kicks off its third season with the Fuchs 250 at Highlands Motorsport Park this weekend, continues to
attract big name drivers from New Zealand and Australia.
