Fun At silo Park This Weekend
Roll up your sleeves for you might as well camp out in Silo Park this weekend. There’s so much good stuff happening...
First off the bat on Friday night, Silo Park are stoked to have the ridiculously good Walt Disney classic screen. It’s an all time favourite for all ages; we’re guessing Simba and the gang are bound to be apopular flick on the night, so make sure you head down early for a spot on the grass.
Did you know? While they were filming, a wildlife expert brought a lion, a baboon and some vultures to the film studio so the animators could study certain behaviours. For example, in the movie, Rafiki carries a staff, so the animators had the real baboon carry a long stick around so they could sketch him in different poses. So cool!
Weird Together world-music kings and good mates Nick D and Dick Johnson have put together a plethora of talent from all corners of the world this Saturday afternoon. Throwing down an absolutely huge afternoon to celebrate the diverse collection of people that make up this super city, this week’s Silo Session will kick off from midday till 6pm. Weird Together will host internationally regarded German DJ, Daniel Haaksman (Man Recordings / Germany), Fat Freddy's Drop's own Champion Selectors (Hohepa, Chopper Reedz and MC Slave), Uncle Barnie, and more.
