Poetry and Picnic in the Garden
Monday 27 January – 11 am to 4 pm
The Writer's CentreEnjoy the spectacle of sails from the Signalman’s House on Auckland Anniversary Day.
The house and garden will be open for members of the public to picnic, watch the Auckland Regatta from a great vantage point, enjoy the views and the work of local poets.
Look through the collection of literary and historical memorabilia in the historic Signalman’s House, the home of New Zealand’s first writers’ centre, set on the slopes of Takarunga Mt Victoria in Devonport.
The open day is hosted by the Devonport Friends of the Michael King Writers’ Centre. Free tea/coffee
