New Zealand Skate Warriors Turn Wellington into a Concrete Jungle
Wellington’s Waitangi Park will once again host the worlds’ best PRO and MASTERS bowl skaters with the seventh annual BOWL-A-RAMA Wellington, from January 29th till February 2nd 2014.
Legendary skaters, such as Pat Ngoho and Pedro Barres will join local New Zealand talents, including Mike Bancroft and
Amiel Day, to battle it out for the prize purse of $20,000AUSD.
The lineup is set to include PROs Pedro Barros, Alex Sorgente, Filipe Foguinho, Murilo Peres, Kalani David, Vi Kakinho, Sky Silijeg, Ben Hatchall, Nilo
Pecanha, Otavio Neto, James McInnes, Brynn Durham, Dan Kelcher, Bowman Hansen, Rob Lorifice, Amiel Day, Rion Linderman,
Cory Juneau and Bugs Fardell.
While in the MASTER’s Division, we have Sergie Ventura, Lester Kasai, Sean Goff, Pat Ngoho, Sasha Steinhorst, Steve Crump, Brian Patch, Mike
Spittlehouse and Mike Rogers.
BOWL-A-RAMA is the only international professional skateboard competition series and BOWL-A-RAMA Wellington 2014 kicks
off the year with a week dedicated to celebrating art, music and true skating culture, leading up to the highly
anticipated competition on Saturday.

AWESOME. Not to offend anyone else off but this is my favourite week of the year. Wellington has been so amazing in
embracing skateboarding and BOWL-A-RAMA. Every year BOWL-A-RAMA Wellington gets better and bigger. This year our

Corona presents the LOVE + GUTS art show that will celebrate the style of “Jump Ramps”. Following the long line of
inventive reinvention that characterizes skateboarding. When the initial wave of skateparks began closing their doors in
the early eighties, the skate youth made a run for the streets and thus began the next chapter of adaptation and
self-expression. This will be showcased at Love & Guts and the rest of the week.
