PETER GUTTERIDGE - PURE
Recorded on a Fostex 4-track between 1986 + '87, Peter Gutteridge's - Pure was the Dunedin musicians' only solo LP. Originally released on Xpressway in 1989, its now gone through the reissue treatment thanks to 540 Records. Combining 20 tracks filled with abstract instrumentals, droning synths and fuzz, this double LP can be seen as a blue print for the racket that Gutteridge has become known for with the likes of Snapper and The Great Unwashed. Grab a copy from Flying Out, and as the liner notes say; "Good Luck and Enjoy".

Sample their wares over at Flying Out and book a car to follow them as they perform twice at Dunedin's Chicks Hotel on the 31 Jan/1st Feb and Wellington's Puppies on the 10/2.
