Fans of Britain’s Got Talent phenomenonPAUL POTTSare urged to act quickly to avoid disappointment when tickets to his eight-city concert tour of New Zealand go on sale next week.
Early indications are that tickets to his One Chance tour -- encompassingAuckland, Rotorua, Hastings, Palmerston North, Wellington, Invercargill, DunedinandChristchurch this April -- will move fast when they go on sale next Thursday, January 23.
Paul will be accompanied on this tour by an orchestra, and a special New Zealander who will perform during the concert, including a duet with Paul
The tour coincides with the cinematic release of the biopic of same name, based on Paul’s rise to fame from phone salesman to opera superstar. Paul’s brand new, deeply personal memoir, One Chance: A Memoir has also recently been released, endorsed by Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan – two of the Britain’s Got Talent judges responsible for his discovery in 2007.
“Paul Potts is proof that nice guys sometimes
do finish first” – Piers Morgan.
Paul' first audition for Britain's Got Talent is one of the most viewed videos on YouTube. More than 15 million people watched this unassuming, shy and awkward tenor surprise the world with his spine-tingling rendition of Puccini's Nessun Dorma.
Since winning the competition, Paul has found worldwide success with his albums, live shows, tours and charity work and has been constantly travelling the globe; five years later, his feet are yet to touch the ground.
2013 saw the release of a Hollywood biopic celebrating Paul’s rise to fame.  The film was Directed by David Frankel (Marley & Me, The Devil Wears Prada) and Produced by The Weinstein Company.  A song written by Taylor Swift for Paul after seeing a screening of the film (‘Sweeter Than Fiction’) has just been nominated for a Golden Globe. It has been a highly popular cinema release in New Zealand.
He has also returned to the studio to record his as-yet untitled fourth studio album which will be released in 2014.
Due to Paul’s commitment and hard work, he has become one of the most travelled international stars and has performed more live shows than any other contestant of this type of programme.
Since winning BGT, Paul has successfully released three studio albums; ‘One Chance’, ‘Passione’ and ‘Cinema Paradiso’ (ex-NZ).
