MEDIA RELEASE: For Immediate Release

Madame Pandemonium presents

Pundemonium

A team of comedians, a team of improvisers and a game show host walk into a bar….and what sounds like a set up for bad punch line becomes a night of hilarity and fun . This Fringe Festival Understudy at Bats hosts the game show Pundemonium for one night only.

Teams of performers are tested for their quick wit and fast thinking skills in a series of elimination rounds while audience members vote on their favorite jokes - all in aid to discover who the royalty of pun making is.

A late night party, with plenty of repartee, Pundemonium is back by popular demand, after debuting in September at the New Zealand International Improv festival.

“I was surprised by the reaction of the audience members to the show’ says game show hostess Madame Pandemonium “I thought that it might descend into a series of groans while the players pulled out their one liners. But there is something about a joke being made fresh, on the spot whilst trying to out-do your competitors that keeps it lively and entertaining. We had punters coming up to us to complain of sore ribs from laughing after the show’

Pundemonium plays at Understudy at Bats on Saturday 8th of Feb 10.30pm as part of the 2014 NZ Fringe Festival for Koha entry. Warning - may contain dad jokes.
