Happy New
Year to all our friends and supporters.
2014 is going
to be an exciting year for Lopdell House Gallery. With
summer trips to the beach taking us regularly through
Titirangi, we can't wait to get into our fabulous new
building, which has now grown above the fence and has only a
few floors to go. We're looking forward to welcoming you all
to our new home later in the year, meanwhile don't forget to
visit our temporary gallery and shop in New Lynn, where
there's plenty to see.
Site Unseen: Veronica
Herber
6 December 2013 - 26 January 2014
The
distinctive 1960s architecture of neighbouring Ceramco House
will be the canvas for a cascade of colour, which will flow
into the gallery. Fresh from Sculpture by the Sea in Bondi,
and set to depart from her signature net motif, Veronica
Herber shifts everyday industrial forms from banal to
intriguing through her use of geometry.

LHG 2013 Commemorative
Dish
As part of the development of the new Lopdell House
Gallery currently being built in Titirangi, we’ve
excavated some clay from the building site to produce a
series of commemorative dishes to mark this exciting
occasion. Designed in collaboration with Auckland Studio
Potters in a range of salt and ash glazes, there are still a
few available from the Gallery Shop at $35
each.
