New Brighton community’s chance to enjoy exhibition

Published: Mon 6 Jan 2014 12:31 PM
The award winning BNZ Amazing Place exhibition will be open in New Brighton from tomorrow and the local community will have around three weeks to enjoy the creativity of the region’s students.
The exhibition, which is housed in a colourful shipping container, has already attracted huge attention in Rolleston as well as at November’s 151st Canterbury A Show, where it won best exhibition.
The multi-media interactive exhibition tells stories of the BNZ Amazing Place competitions, in which Canterbury’s students of all ages have put forward their ideas for the new central city.
It also houses the Liquid Galaxy Unit which displays the digital fly-through of the plans for the redevelopment of Christchurch.
The Amazing Place container is sited in the New Brighton mall’s Creative Quarter and will be 11am and 5pm every day of the week until Sunday 26th January.
Entry is free.
