More FM’s Si And Gary Coming to a City Near You

More FM’s Si And Gary Coming to Auckland, Wellington, Waikato

More Kiwis will be waking up with Simon Barnett and Gary McCormick when the duo’s top rating Breakfast Show starts broadcasting into Auckland, Wellington and the Waikato in 2014.

MORE FM Breakfast with Si & Gary is the #1 Breakfast Show in Christchurch and Nelson, and they’re looking forward to getting to know listeners better in Auckland, Wellington and the Waikato.

Simon Barnett says: “We're really excited about the challenge - and meeting a bunch of new people from around NZ who are at the end of the day, the stars of our show.”

Gary McCormick says: “Simon and I enjoy working together because we are such different personalities. Simon is an upright, decent citizen with an outstanding conscience and high moral standards. I look after the other part. We have a lot of fun on the show, and are looking forward to sharing that with our new listeners."

MORE FM also announced the launch of a new afternoon show hosted by Joe Cotton and Stu Tolan that will be broadcast throughout the country except Christchurch, Manawatu and Nelson, starting on 13 January, 2014.

Hayley Holt leaves MORE FM at the end of 2013, and Clarke Gayford (current Drive host) is moving from MORE FM to a new role within MediaWorks Radio. Details will be announced in due course.

Andrew Szusterman, Group Programme Director – Music, MediaWorks Radio says:

“Simon Barnett and Gary McCormick are two of our best broadcasters. They epitomise the MORE FM brand, and I’m really delighted to be bringing them to a wider audience. I know MORE FM listeners in Auckland, Wellington and the Waikato are going to love the show.

“With these changes and new programme director Christian Boston joining the team next year, 2014 is set to be a fantastic year for MORE FM.”
