FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Monday December 2
theaudience.co.nz Giving Artists The Chance to Win a Full Day Recording At Roundhead Studios
While New Zealand On Air are taking a much deserved break from Making Tracks Funding, theaudience.co.nz are instead offering something a little different for artists over the months of December and January. We’re stoked to have four days’ worth of recording to be won at the brilliant Roundhead Studios in Auckland.
The artists who finish at number one on theaudience.co.nz Wildcard Chart for the months of December and January will automatically receive one day of recording at Roundhead Studios in Auckland. Not only will each month’s winner receive one day recording, but we also have one extra day recording in each month which we will give away to an artist who our Curators think is the most deserving act. All artists have to do is have a track make the Wildcard Top 10 at least once during one of the months.
This exciting prize follows on from the November Wildcard Chart being taken out by Auckland-based act, The Kaleidoscopes, for their track ‘Cherry Tree’. “We are all pretty stoked about it and excited at the opportunities this will open up for us,” the band said.
“It has been a lot of work getting votes and promoting but it has meant that so many people have heard our song. The support has been amazing and the exposure has been fantastic.” You can check out the track here. [http://www.theaudience.co.nz/the-kaleidoscopes/cherry-tree/]
A big congratulations to The Kaleidoscopes for taking out the prize, and becoming another one of the fantastic and eclectic artists to take out theaudience.co.nz Wildcard Chart. We’re very excited to be able to offer up the Recording Prizes over the next two months, and looking to end 2013 with some more amazing acts.
The Recording Prize competition also kicks off a very exciting time for theaudience.co.nz. Not only is festival season about to kick into high gear, but we’re excited to be catching up with some Kiwis doing great things in music overseas, Bradley Carter of NO and acclaimed DJ Zane Lowe. Stay tuned to catch these over the next few weeks, and make sure everyone you know has got their tracks on theaudience.co.nz so they can try win themselves a day recording at Roundhead Studios!
