Xmas comes early for Mexican foodies in Wellington
100 lucky locals received a free shout from Localist.co.nz thanks to the kindness of Wellingtonian Miriam Ramos of
Miramar.
Miriam Ramos chose to love the locals as part of the Local Love Project being run by online hub Localist.co.nz. New
Zealanders are in the top 5 most charitable nations in the world and according to the World Giving Index (WGI), 68% of
Kiwis are likely to help out a stranger. The Local Love Project invites Kiwis to decide whether they want to give or
receive. To enter, people visit Localist.co.nz, decide if they want to love their locals or keep the cash and then write
a list about what they love in their area. Each week one business from a list will be chosen to shout their customers to
the value of $1,000, care of the person who nominated them. Another prize of $1,000 will be given to entrants who have
decided to keep the cash.
There will be the opportunity to give or receive in the weeks leading up to Xmas by entering here: http://www.localist.co.nz/p/local-love-project
