Kim Dotcom’s Secret Life an instant hit
The Secret Life of Kim Dotcom, officially published on Monday, has already attracted a huge amount of interest. Most New Zealand news sites have featured the book, many honing in on some of the more outrageous but little known events in Dotcom’s life such as the near-death motor accident that saw him turn his life around or the romance of his courting Mona Verga, now his wife.
There has also been interest from overseas, with early online sales to Europe and coverage on specialist websites. Author David Fisher has been asked to contribute an op-ed piece to the UK Guardian newspaper on why the Dotcom story just won’t go away – something the book also helps explain.
“I hope people will soon see past the larger than life anecdotes to the serious issues that are the book’s reason for existing,” says publisher Paul Little. “This is a goldmine for anyone with an interest in issues around privacy, security, the internet, copyright, the entertainment industry and many other things that characterise modern life.”
The ebook edition of The Secret Life of Kim Dotcom has more than 200 links to a treasure trove of background material. It is available on Amazon with other major ebook retailers coming online in days to come
