Whangamata Blue Light brings you Good Morning Sunday

Whangamata Blue Light brings you Good Morning Sunday

Whangamata Blue Light is proud to bring you Good Morning Sunday, a free 7 week event for all the family.

Good Morning Sunday will run every Sunday throughout Dec and Jan (except 29th Dec) at the Whangamata Area School. A selection of outdoor activities will be coordinated followed by a free sausage sizzle afterwards. "Good Morning Sunday is an opportunity for both Whangamata and visiting families to get outdoors and experience a couple of hours of fun together" says Constable Russell Richards, the brain child behind Good Morning Sunday.

“We wanted to provide an event for the community which was in a safe and facilitated environment. Something that wouldn't take a lot of effort to participate for families but provided lots of enjoyment and interaction amongst one another”, he adds.

“Blue Light encourages the development of the family unit by holding events which encourage Whanau participation, which fits perfectly with the objectives of Good Morning Sunday" outlines Sergeant Vince Ranger.

Good Morning Sunday also provides a great platform for other like minded community organisations to push the safe communities message. It is hoped that throughout the 7 weeks additional community organisations will jump on board.
