Stunning Line-up at Taste of Auckland’s Fisher & Paykel Chef’s Kitchen

The best of the best of Kiwi chefs will grace the stage at the Taste of Auckland’s Fisher & Paykel Chef’s Kitchen this year, Victoria Park from 14 – 17 November.

For the second year, celebrity chef and My Food Bag owner Nadia Lim plays host to the impressive array of chefs who will be demonstrating how to cook their favourite dishes in front of a live audience.

“The Fisher & Paykel Chef’s Kitchen was an absolute blast last year and I can’t wait to MC it again this year. With such talented chefs and exciting dishes, we have so much fun up on stage and I always end up with great cooking tips to take home myself,” says Lim.

Demonstrating how to cook their favourite dishes will be the likes of Des Harris of Clooney, the 2013 Chef of the Year, Sachie Nomura of Sachie’s Kitchen, Michael Dearth and Glen File of Baduzzi, and Shane Yardley of Fish Restaurant.

Annabel White from Kenwood will be demonstrating on Saturday afternoon at 2.30pm and Lim says she is an absolute “hoot”.

“Annabel is definitely worth a watch, every time I’ve seen her I’ve been in absolute hysterics and she’s really knowledgeable too,” says Lim.

Non Solo Pizza’s Antonio Crisci is expected to be a crowd favourite again, impressing with his Italian swag and specialties.

Taste of Auckland’s international guests will all be demonstrating this year. Phil Davenport who made his name at Bali’s infamous Ku De Ta will present on Friday evening at 7:00pm, Matt Stone, executive chef from Greenhouse by Joost in Perth will be displaying his sustainability knowledge and prowess on Friday evening at 8:00pm and Saturday evening at 6:00pm and pacific cuisine specialist Robert Oliver, author of world number one cook book Me’a Kai will be presenting on Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm.

Taste of Auckland organiser Rob Eliott says there’s such a great range of chefs presenting this year it will be hard to pick which ones to go to.

“I’m going to find it hard to pull myself away from the Fisher & Paykel Chef’s Kitchen this year, there’s just so much good stuff going on there,” he says.
