Samantha Shannon coming to New Zealand

Allen & Unwin is very pleased to announce that Samantha Shannon, author of The Bone Season, will be visiting Auckland on Monday 18 November, following an appearance at Supernova Pop Culture Expo in Australia.

At the staggeringly young age of 19, Samantha Shannon wrote The Bone Season, the first book in a seven-part series of dizzying imagination. The Bone Season introduces a compelling heroine and also introduces an extraordinary young writer, now 21, who has created a bold new reality in this riveting debut.

The Bone Season has been sold in 18 languages and Andy Serkis (Lord of the Rings) and Jonathan Cavendish (Bridget Jones’s Diary) have sold film rights through their British production company, The Imaginarium Studios, to 20th Century Fox and Chernin Entertainment who will shortly begin production.

To request a review copy of The Bone Season, or an interview with Samantha Shannon, please contact Abba Renshaw on AbbaR@allenandunwin.com or 09 375 7192.
