Nik Kershaw NZ tour this week - support acts announced
Nik Kershaw's seven-date New Zealand tour kicks off tomorrow night, and some of our best up-and-coming female singer-songwriters are confirmed to open the shows.
18-year-old Aucklander EDEN will support Nik this weekend and early next week at the Wellington, Auckland, Leigh, and Hamilton concerts.
Eden is an X-Factor finalist who breaks the mould - a captivating singer who writes her own material and regularly performs live.
Split Enz legend MIke Chunn says Eden Roberts “has the creative flair and determination to carve out a major place in New Zealand with her unique music” - all of which is in evidence in this live video clip:

In Christchurch on Tuesday night, SHAYNA KING will support. Says Vicki Anderson from The Press: “Shayna is a rising star... heard her debut album - it’s amazing”. In May her single The Day Is Young debuted in the iTunes Singer-Songwriter Top 20.
ELISHA HOBBS and her exquisite songs & soulful voice will open Nik’s sold out Nelson show:

Hawkes Bay singer CARA FERGUSON with guitarist Owen Vickers from Ninja Monkey will open Nik’s Napier show at the Cabana in Napier.
Meanwhile, Nik Kershaw's performances across the Tasman are getting rave reviews, with fans enjoying the chance to hear his classics like Wouldn't It Be Good, The Riddle, Human Racing, Wide Boy and I Won't Let The Sun Go Down On Me.
This is Kershaw’s first NZ tour since sold out shows in 1985. That same year he played Live Aid at Wembley to a worldwide audience of millions, and his chart-topping album The Riddle spent 33 weeks in NZ Top 40.
