Barnardos Chief Executive and staff to #BeyGood with Beyonce
Chief Executive of Barnardos New Zealand Jeff Sanders is to join staff as a volunteer at Beyonce’s Auckland gig tomorrow (Friday). Jeff and the other volunteers will be manning the mobile donation centre at Vector Arena from 5pm til 8.30pm, and are encouraging fans to bring items of clothing to the concerts to help Barnardos support children and families in need.
Barnardos New Zealand was delighted to be chosen by Beyonce as the New Zealand charity partner for her Mrs Carter Show World Tour and her global charity campaign #BeyGood, which encourages people to be kind, be charitable and #BeyGood to each other and their communities.
Jeff said, “We’re very honoured that Beyonce has chosen to support Barnardos, and I’m pleased to be able to help out at the donation centre. We are looking forward to seeing how generous Beyonce’s fans will be, and to distributing the donated clothing nationally to the vulnerable children and families we work with.”
Donors and visitors to the Barnardos New Zealand mobile donation site will also have a chance to win surprise gifts from Beyonce including an official #BeyGood t-shirt, a personally autographed photo or even the chance to have their seat upgraded.
Media are invited to come down to Vector Arena to meet Jeff and the other volunteers, and to chat to fans who are getting behind the #BeyGood campaign.
