Observation and Recommendation: the role of Think Tanks
Observation and Recommendation: the role of Think Tanks
The world that we live in is secular and
democratic – and most of us seem to like it that way. We
have governments which frame laws and courts of law that
enforce them. But where does the government get its ideas
from – other than from its own in-house advisors?
The guest this week In Conversation with Noel Cheer on Face Television is Wendy McGuinness, Chief Executive of The McGuinness Institute which is one of the New Zealand-based “think tanks” observing developments in public policy and making recommendations for improvement. They also monitor progress.
"In Conversation with Noel Cheer", Face Television, Monday October 7th at 7:00pm, repeated on Tuesday October 8th at 12 noon.
Face Television, the home of public broadcasting, is found on Sky Television Channel 083 and can also be received in the Auckland region on UHF Channels 41, 42 and 52.
