Nominate Your Local Female Hero for FROCKTOBER
Today Annah Stretton has launched a campaign to help recognize the numerous good people serving their local communities around New Zealand.
Each day throughout the month of October, using Facebook as the primary driver of the campaign, the fashion designer and entrepreneur will offer one of her best-selling new season frocks. If 100 or more people engage with the post in 24 hours the frock will be gifted to a deserving winner as nominated by the public.
“With Christmas just around the corner I wanted to engage the spirit of generosity early this year,” Annah explains. “This is my way of encouraging others to look around and see all the good that is being done by individuals in their local communities and recognizing these people by way of nomination. I’m not talking about your sister or your dog walker but someone that you believe has gone out of their way to make a considerable difference to others – even complete strangers. I love the quote… “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about” – that is the essence of Frocktober.”
Throughout the month of October Annah and her team will also be approaching local councils for nominations of outstanding good sorts and charitable organizations throughout the country who are worthy frock recipients.
Do you know someone making a great contribution in the community that deserves a special treat?
