Shaqaila's Piano Marathon for Charity Saturday 21st Sept

Shaqaila's Piano Marathon for Charity - Saturday 21st September - Heretaunga

Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou katoa,

My niece Shaqaila is half way through her ‘Piano Marathon for Charity’ journey – playing the piano for 24 hours over 6 Saturdays in different cities.

What is this?
• ·       All the proceeds she makes will be donated to the Wellington Cancer Society & Cranford Hospice.
• ·       She started playing in Wellington on Saturday 31st August and will finish up in Hastings on Saturday 5th October.
• ·       Shaqaila’s Dad died on the 3rd October 2012 after battling cancer.
• ·       This is her way of giving back – to help save others who are battling with Cancer. You can follow her journey on www.playforlife.squarespace.com.

Next Show
Shaqaila will be playing this Saturday 21st September at the Hastings Opera House Plaza from 12pm – 3pm.  Drop in and visit with her for a while, listen, sing along and enjoy!!

Tribute Requests
During 1:30pm – 2:30pm Shaqaila will be doing Tribute Requests.  If you email the name and photo of a loved one you lost to cancer and request a song, their photo will be shown on a screen on Saturday while the tribute song is played.  If you would like to make a tribute, send your details to Shaqaila at shaqailauelese@gmail.com before Saturday.  Follow this link for further information about it – www.playforlife.squarespace.com/tribute-requests/.
