Get creative and connect to bust school holiday boredom
The school holidays are fast-approaching and creative fun is in store for kids, thanks to a competition being run by the Mental Health Foundation (MHF).
To help parents maintain good mental health over the school holidays, the MHF has put together a colouring competition to keep children occupied.
The picture is filled with dozens of words and images that tie in with this year’s theme of Connect for Mental Health Awareness Week, 7 to 13 October.
For lovers of Where’s Wally, there’s even a hidden MHF logo to be found within the picture.
By taking part, children will not only have fun – they will also pick up some great ideas on how to connect with their friends and whanau.
There are three age categories in the competition and the winner of each will receive a $50 Prezzy Card.
To enter, colour in the image, tell us how you connect with friends and family, and circle the hidden MHF logo.
Entries can be sent to Mental Health Foundation, PO Box 10051, Dominion Road, Auckland 1446. The closing date is 5pm, October 18.
