NZ web series selected for Raindance
NZ web series selected for RaindanceNZ On Air funded web series 'Woodville' has been selected to take part in Europe’s leading independent film festival - Raindance.
The comedy web series will be the only Kiwi production to feature in Raindance’s inaugural Web Fest – a web series ‘micro-festival’ taking place during the Film Festival itself.
Woodville producer and director Georgiana Taylor says it's very exciting to be part of the first ever Web Fest from the festival which has launched iconic hits such as Pulp Fiction and Momento.
“It’s great Raindance founders have recognised the importance of web series as a medium for showcasing new talent and high quality content.”
Since Woodville was launched in May of this year, the series has been picked up by the Sydney Morning Herald online, Stuff.co.nz, and Quickflix.
Web Fest will take place on the 28th and 29th of September 2013.
