2013/2014 Teretonga season a Beauty
The new motor racing season is about to get underway at Invercargill's Teretonga Park and the opening event of the
season will set the scene for yet another summer of top class action!
The opening meeting, presented by Downer, will take place over the weekend of 21/22 September with the opening day of
that weekend, Saturday 21 September, the date for the annual ASKO Appliances 1 hour and 3 Hour South Island Endurance
races. This year's series has gone to another level and when the driver line up is finalised it is likely to be the best
ever seen for this event. The following day the Pro 7 Saloon's, Honda Cup plus the Noel McIntyre Drainage Clubmans
Saloons and Sports & Racing Cars take to the track.
Next up, on Sunday 3 November, the Noel McIntyre Drainage Clubmans Saloons, Sports & Racing Cars along with the Honda Cup cars return for the second event of the season.
The December meeting, over the weekend of 7/8 December, will include one of the most popular classes in the South
Island, the mighty OSCA Saloons. They will be supported by South Island Formula Ford which is enjoying a renaissance
this season, Pro 7 Saloons, Mini 7 South, NZ Six, Clubmans Saloons plus Sports & Racing Cars.
The beginning of the 2014 year brings three blockbusting meetings to the circuit. The Mororsport NZ Summer Series
returns from 10-12 January with the popular NZV8s and the internationally recognised Toyota Racing Series the headline
acts.
The Evolution Motorsport Classic SpeedFest follows over the weekend of in 15/16 February with it's sensational
smorgasbord of classic racing cars.
The season ends with yet another highlight when NZ Super Trucks return to the country's southernmost circuit over the
weekend of 15/16 March supported by Noel McIntyre Drainage Clubmans Saloons, Sports & Racing Cars, NZ Six, Honda Cup and Pre 65 Saloons. The annual A1 Auto Services 1 Hour race will also be a feature of
this meeting.
