This is Kershaw’s first NZ tour since sold out shows in 1985. That same year he played Live Aid at Wembley to a worldwide audience of millions, and his chart-topping album The Riddle spent 33 weeks in NZ Top 40.

"It's been 28 years since I last set foot in New Zealand and I'm thrilled to have been given the opportunity to play some intimate acoustic shows there this October" - Nik Kershaw Sep 2013.
But it’s not all a nostalgia-fest of sweet RTR, Shazam, and Shake magazine memories. Kershaw will also bring to the party some great songs from his acclaimed recent releases, including 2012’s Ei8ht.
Nik Kershaw returned to the studio and the stage after several years out of the limelight, producing, songwriting and performing alongside artists as diverse as Imogen Heap, Elton John, and Steve Hackett (Genesis). He also wrote the UK number 1 “The One And Only” for Chesney Hawkes.
Elton John has called him “one of the best songwriters of a generation”, and with a hit-packed set list night after night, few can argue.
