Auckland Roller Derby takes on Palmerston North in 2013 season closer
Auckland’s roller derby season comes to a close this month, but the women in blue are going out with a bang, rekindling their legendary rivalry with Swamp City Roller Rats from Palmerston North.
Auckland roller derby has proved itself to be a force to be reckoned with against New Zealand teams, but recently fell to both Melbourne and Brisbane when they visited from across the ditch. Hungry for a win to finish out the season, Auckland will be bringing their A game against the fearsome women from down the line.
The ladies of Palmerston North are known for their hard-hitting style of roller derby, and after falling short of Auckland’s points total earlier this year, Palmy will be back with a vengeance and ready to prove to the City of Sails what they’re made of.
This is your last chance to see Auckland Roller Derby in action this year, so head along to YMCA Pitt Street on September 21st to find out why roller derby is the fastest growing sport in the world today. Tickets are just $15 from Eventfinda. Doors to this exciting event are at 6pm; game starts at 7pm.
