Mark November 21 in the diary
The dates for the 48th annual Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards have been announced with the big night itself moving to a later slot in November.
The 2013 programme officially kicks off on October 22 with the finalists’ announcement event. November plays host to the Critics’ Choice Prize showcase event and the biggest night in Kiwi Music itself – The Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards – is on Thursday November 21.
The Awards are once again being hosted at Auckland’s Vector Arena.
Damian Vaughan, Chief Executive of Recorded Music NZ, says he is looking forward to his first-ever awards at the helm of Recorded Music NZ.
“Following on from a very successful 2012 Awards, Recorded Music NZ is thrilled to be presenting the 48th annual Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards,” says Vaughan.
“There have been a number of phenomenal releases in a wide range of genres this year. We’ve seen the nominations coming through and we’re looking forward to unveiling the finalists – which in my opinion represent the full spectrum of musical talent here in New Zealand.”
