Mes back on board with the Northern Mystics
2013 stand out player Bailey Mes will once again take the court for the Northern Mystics, having re-signed with the franchise for the 2014 Campaign.
Mes had an impressive season, being nominated for Best New Talent in the ANZ Championship, and winning over the Northern Mystics fans who voted her MVP for 2013. Rupturing her ACL in the very last game of the ANZ season was a huge blow to Mes and while it has knocked her out of Silver Fern selection for this season, she has recovered well after surgery and is back training.
Joining Mes are 2013 rookies Elisapeta Toeava and Erikana Pedersen. Both of these young players showed their potential, making the step up to take the court due to an unprecedented series of injuries for the Northern Mystics.
The Northern Mystics are also pleased to have signed on former Magic midcourter, Nadia Loveday. Loveday drew praise for her 2013 ANZ Debut by then Magic teammate Laura Langman “She's a real talent, and I think someone who will just grow with confidence with more court time and with under-21s, so big, big future."
