Choose Fairtrade products with a verifiable label (FAIRTRADE Mark or WFTO member i.e. Trade Aid) to bake up a fair deal
for farmers, their families & their communities and you could win a grand prize worth over $1,200 – a baking set from Millys Kitchen plus Fairtrade
goodies. It’s simple – 1. Choose your favourite recipe & swap in Fairtrade ingredients, 2. Bake something to share with family & friends, 3. Submit a photo of yourself with your baking & Fairtrade products, with a short description of why you baked fair, at www.bigfairbake.org.nz Judges, Sarah Bradley,
Kim Evans, & Steve Logan, will be looking for a minimum of 2 Fairtrade ingredients, and will choose a winner & 5 runners up based on the photo & description.

ingredients when they bake. Fairtrade products are available in most supermarkets and independent stores across the

world’s poorest countries.”
Big Fair Bake highlights how easily Fairtrade products can be substituted into baked goods and the flow on benefits to
farmers that this choice to use Fairtrade ingredients has. “Thanks to Fairtrade, I receive a good price for my coffee, I
have financing, and I have a diversified farm. I think that what I have accomplished with Fairtrade is one of the best
inheritances I can offer my children,” says José Toribio Vásque, a coffee farmer from the RAOS cooperative in Honduras.
