Swiss and Etana Release New Duet ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’
Breakthrough NZ Reggae/R artist Swiss and Jamaican Reggae star Etana release their highly anticipated new single and video, ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes‘. The heartfelt duet is the second single from Swiss’ forthcoming debut full-length album, due out later this year on Dawn Raid Entertainment / Frequency Media Group.
With Reggae increasingly crossing over to influence mainstream music, NZ’s distinctive Pacific Reggae sound is reaching shores as far away as Jamaica and the Unites States. With the title of Pacific Music Awards - Solo Male Artist of The Year, 750,000 YouTube video views of smash hit ‘Slow Wind’, and a string of radio hits in his wake, Swiss is undoubtedly at the forefront of this wave.
Across the globe, spirited and soulful starlet Etana leads the new wave in Jamaica. Etana and President of legendary reggae label VP Records, Randy Chin, were so impressed with Swiss’ live performance and debut EP that they jumped to record a song with the rising star.
The ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’ duet turned out to be a truly international effort; the riddim was laid down in Kingston at the Marley Family’s legendary Tuff Gong Studio with engineer Shane Brown, before Swiss and Etana recorded the vocals and the video – set against the dramatic scenery of Auckland’s West Coast – back in New Zealand.
