Young and talented NZ poet awarded a trip to UK!
In 2013 Printable Reality ran an Artist Development Program “Page 2 Stage”. Four up-and-coming artists were paired with four top professional, experienced mentors with the aim of creating a feature spoken word stage performance. After a year of mentoring, workshopping and live event opportunities to hone their skills, on Sunday 27th October at The PumpHouse Theatre the four mentees will present their work and compete for the BIG PRIZE.
By invitation from “Apples and Snakes”, the leading UK performance poetry organisation - and with generous help from “The NEW ZEALAND Society”, London – the winner will be awarded a trip to London to present their work at one of the Apples and Snakes events in 2014.
Mentees: Angela King, Nalini Singh, Kashka Tunstall and Jess Bates
Mentors: Raewyn Alexander, Grae Burton, Lynn Cardy and Rosanna Raymond
Thanks to: Creative Communities NZ, Kawaipurapura Retreat Centre, The PumpHouse Theatre, The NEW ZEALAND Society and Poetry/Spoken Word Art Trust NZ.
