Thistle Hall is a vibrant community venue in the heart of New Zealand's cultural capital. We provide a community hall,
meeting room and Wellington's only community gallery showcasing a range of artists and crafts people, from the
established to the emerging. Thistle Hall is located on the corner of Cuba and Arthur Streets. The shows on at Thistle
Hall Community Gallery are run by the artists who hire it.

Through Our Eyes | Mixed Media Photography & Stencil Art from Lsa.

Wellington, Through Our Eyes is a mixed media exhibition by a local school LSA Lyriks Sports Academy from Naenae, Lower Hutt. There are photographic pieces and stencil art.
LSA was founded 13 years ago to create further learning opportunities in an alternative setting for young people in the
Hutt Valley. The school is based on education and sports. We are now developing an art and cultural studies programme.
In this exhibition, we dabble with concepts of street art, ‘our’ environment and social commentary. There is also a
sense of sadness, a dose of reality, colour, humour and hope. In these artworks we show differing environs and
viewpoints of Wellington...‘Through our eyes’
Noel Faifai is an AE tutor at LSA and also an emerging artist. He will also exhibit some of his work alongside his
students.

After our hugely successful Thistle Hall debut exhibition last year, the members of InPreciousMetal Jewellers are
delighted to be returning to Thistle Hall with a new range of exciting jewellery.
InPreciousMetal Jewellers - a group of Wellingtonians dedicated to crafting unique jewellery, primarily in sterling
silver and copper but also incorporating brass, glass, gems, stones, shell, acrylic and resin.
A diverse collective with individual styles, together we form a dynamic force of creative talent and we relish this
opportunity to again share our original jewellery with the public.
Jewellers presenting their work include Julie Brown, Rose David, Kim Entwisle, Sandy Flesher, Jane Gray, Liesl Harlen,
Charlotte Kerr, Sue Shore, Alan Shuker, Ruth Taka, Lesley Watson and Robyn White.
Exhibited and for sale is an inspiring array of rings, necklaces, bracelets, brooches, pendants, bangles, earrings - all
meticulously handcrafted. Pieces range from the traditional to the quirky, with something for all tastes.
