Celebrates our 5th Birthday with films!
Hong Kong Festival – 18th July 2013
The Hong Kong Festival have been bringing a great selection of films from Hong Kong to New Zealand every year, ranging from blockbusters, alternatives, documentaries to Shaw Brothers Classics and student short films from Hong Kong and Auckland. And for the very first time ever Cinema Hong Kong will be extended to Wellington.
Cinema Hong Kong 2013 will be coming to Rialto Cinema in Auckland from 22 – 28 August and The Embassy from 29 August – 1 September.
The exciting line-up of movies included:

Conspirators (2013)
My Sassy Hubby  (2013)
Natural Born Lovers (2012)
Christmas Rose (2013)
Behind the Yellow Line  (1984)
Women (1985)
And student short films from
·         Hong Kong:
o   The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts
o   Hong Kong Baptist University
o   Hong Kong Design Institute
o   The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
        New Zealand:
o   AUT University
o   Unitec
o   University of Auckland
As part of our commitment to the communities, we are delighted to support both the SPCA Auckland and the White Ribbon Campaign. For every ticket sold to the festival screenings of CHRISTMAS ROSE, Hong Kong Festival (New Zealand) will donate $1 of the ticket revenue to White Ribbon New Zealand. The Festival will also contribute an additional donation of matching amount raised through the ticket sales, and $1 of the ticket revenue of Student Short Films will be donated and matched to SPCA Auckland.
