Rhythm Group Entertainment are delivering one of LA’s rising stars, electronic producer SALVA to Auckland on Saturday 10 August.

The crowd riling Salva will unleash on Cassette Nine his eclectic fusions, ranging from the house and juke music of his native Chicago, to the darkest depths of the underground.

His collaborative remix of Kanye West’s “Mercy” was the tipping point of his career. The seminal dance-floor anthem was one of 2012’s biggest tracks - not only did it reach #1 on Soundcloud, but was admired by Kayne himself. Before its release, Salva had earned a rep in underground circles as one of the best producers and DJs in L.A., while his own label, Frite Nite, was regarded as one of the finest in funk-inflected bass music.

Salva's latest EP, “Odd Furniture” promotes musical complexity through a synthesis of contrasting styles. It dips into house motifs, funk, and bass which have garnered support from the likes of Pitchfork, FADER, FACT, BBC's Benji B and Skream & Benga, A-Trak, Snoop Dogg, Night Slugs, and many others.
