New Jaguars and Range Rovers add to packed-out CRC Speedshow

A line-up of new Jaguars and Range Rovers, courtesy of independent dealer Beacham Jaguar, adds another classy note to this week’s sold-out CRC Speedshow.

Running 20 to 21 July at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland, CRC Speedshow takes place for the seventh consecutive year and with hundreds of vehicles – new, classic, custom-built and race-spec – in an array of interactive displays both inside and outside, the 2013 edition of the show is set to be another winner.

This year marks the first time that Beacham Jaguar has exhibited at the show and director Alex Beacham is looking forward to the opportunity to show CRC Speedshow fans the 2013 Range Rover Vogue SE, the 2013 Range Rover Evoque, the 2013 Jaguar XJ sedan and the 2013 Jaguar XF Sportbrake (wagon) which will grace the Beacham display.

Originally based in Hawke’s Bay and now with an additional Auckland location, Beacham Jaguar is best-known for its world-class restoration and modernisation work on older Jaguar models, the E-Type, the XK120 and the Jaguar MKII. Dr Greg Beacham started the company in the late 1980s and now son Alex, as the company’s managing director, continues the passion for the British marques, adding the new vehicle retail aspect of the business more recently.

“As New Zealand’s leading independent dealer for Jaguar and Land Rover, which includes Range Rover, we can supply the very latest models at highly competitive prices,” Alex Beacham says.

“With a selection of new and near new cars in stock, we can also offer customers the option of specifying their exact specifications when we order directly from the factory on their behalf. All new Jaguar, Land Rover and Range Rover models supplied by Beacham come with a three year / 100,000 km warranty.

“What sets Beacham’s apart from similar independent dealers is our investment in after-sales service – we have two service centres in Auckland and Hawke’s Bay. Both are equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment and service tools and our parts departments at both locations have a range of genuine and OEM parts for classic and current models.”

CRC Speedshow director Ross Prevette comments: “With the 50th anniversaries of Lamborghini, the Porsche 911 and Bruce McLaren Motor Racing, as well as the 100th anniversary of Aston Martin, the 2013 CRC Speedshow helps mark a number of key milestones in the automotive world.

“Beacham Jaguar’s first-time appearance at the show sits alongside another debut, the first-ever Castrol EDGE / Teng Tools Custom and Classic Show which features over 55 pristine custom-built cars, motorcycles and pickups.

“The 2013 show also features the New Zealand Legends of Speed display, acknowledging the international successes of Bruce McLaren, Burt Munro, Chris Amon, Craig Baird, Denny Hulme, Emma Gilmour, Greg Murphy, Jim Richards, John Britten, Graeme Crosby, Ivan Mauger, Kenny Smith, Paul Radisich, Possum Bourne, Reece Fish, Rod Millen and Scott Dixon.

“Add in the array of specialist parts, accessories and services available from many of New Zealand’s expert suppliers, many of New Zealand’s favourite race stars like Shane Van Gisbergen, Andy Booth, Angus Fogg and Michael Pickens set to contest our Right Karts Celebrity Charity Kart Challenge, plus merchandise, competitions, special offers and the fun entertainment of our live action arena, CRC Speedshow is set to fuel the passions of car and bike enthusiasts of all ages and from all backgrounds.”

CRC Speedshow is open over the weekend of 20 and 21 July. Tickets are available at the gate. See the website, www.speedshow.co.nz, for details including a full exhibitor listing and event timetable.
