Stars studded Hong Kong Festival celebrates 5th Anniversary
Hong Kong Festival – 11th July 2013
The award winning Hong Kong Festival marks the 5th Anniversary with a star studded event, expanding to Wellington!
For the very first time, Wellingtonians will be able to celebrate Hong Kong through star studded movies. And in Auckland we continue to celebrate Hong Kong through workshops and movies.
“We are delighted to be able to share Hong Kong with Wellingtonians this year,” says Stella Chan, President of Hong Kong New Zealand Business Association.  “We can finally give Wellingtonians what they have been asking for.”
Following the tradition, a collection of student works from Hong Kong academic institutes will be showcased. We have also added works from Auckland-based academic institutes, a way to support local works and local talents.
To celebrate our 5th Anniversary, we will be supporting SPCA Auckland’s Cupcake Day. “We are honoured to partner with SPCA Auckland again this year,” says Raymond Suen, Festival Director. “What can be better than celebrating birthdays with cake, lots and lots of cakes?”
As part of our commitment to contribute to our communities, we are delighted to also the White Ribbon Campaign. Every $1 of the sales of Christmas Rose will be donated and matched to the White Ribbon Campaign.
An even better reason to support the Festival.
