No sustainable future without peace
No sustainable future without peace
You’ve probably heard the expression “We don’t inherit the earth from our ancestors so much as borrow it from our descendants.” And you’ve probably heard it in the context of the environment and climate change.
But it applies also to the way in which we get on together. As the Middle East and parts of Africa show, multi-generational hatred becomes engrained – institutionalised – and is handed on to following generations.
As many people have pointed out, the human race has no sustainable future without peace – and the teaching of peace starts early.
