Heavy metal rockers from around Auckland can expect to find a new bi-weekly hang out with the launch of LOUDER, a selection of metal DJs spinning tunes upstairs at the Ding Dong Lounge this Thursday night.

This week's DJs include Gareth Craze, the man behind tour and event promoters RW Entertainment. No stranger in the New Zealand metal scene, Craze adopts the tongue-in-cheek moniker 'Gazzy Geff' for his DJing duties. He has performed in and managed New Zealand metal acts for over a decade and has brought more international metal acts to Aotearoa than anyone before him. Punters can expect a mashup of old school thrash and death metal, grindcore and powerviolence in his DJ set, as well as a few less-than-extreme entries for balance.

Joining Gareth on the line up is Sixx Shott, known in the local scene as one of few metal DJs playing dirty 80's metal and promises hard, fast and heavy rock with a healthy dose of punk injected in to the mix. Whatever you're into, Shott is set to blash a mix from 80's hair metal classics to modern metal of today.

With a happy hour from 8pm until midnight and some of the best metal tunes blasted loud all night upstairs at the Ding Dong Lounge, heavy metal rockers know where they'll be twice a month on a Thursday.
