Carrington wins Gold in her final World Cup race

In the final day of racing, and her last race for the World Cups, Lisa Carrington again put her stamp on the K1 200m event, winning ahead of the two local Polish girls and claiming her fifth Gold medal in these three World Cup events. Her time of 42.685 was 0.696 ahead of Polands Marta Walczykiewicz and 0.0832 ahead of Karolina Naja.
Teneale Hatton and Rachael Dodwell also performed well in the K2 200m coming in sixth in the A final in a time of 42.673. This team has improved with each race and will be well pleased with their progress.
The team now focuses their energy on the upcoming World Champs to be held 29 August - 1 September in Duisburg, Germany.
